Sara Wolstenholme
Sara studied at Chetham's School of Music, Royal Northern College of Music and the Royal College of Music London with Thomas Kemp, Maciej Rakowski and Jan Repko.
She won the Gerald MacDonald Candide Award in the Shell LSO Competition and Liverpool Young Musician of the Year whilst at Chetham’s and had solo performances with the Halle and RLPO under Vernon Handley. Whilst at RNCM she won the Schubert and Nossek Prizes for chamber music, Eleanor Warren Salon Prize and the Norman George Violin Competition.
Sara has studied widely, including the Holland Music Sessions, Aspen Summer Music, IMS Prussia Cove and privately with Shmuel Ashkenasi in Germany. As a chamber musician she has performed in the Lichfield, St Endellion and Apeldoorn International Festivals and has returned frequently to IMS Prussia Cove Open Chamber Music. She has given duo recitals in Switzerland, Holland and most recently with pianist Annie Yim at St Martin's in the Fields for the Concordia Foundation.
